The past five years I have been working in the international affairs and development cooperation sector. I am currently working as a desk officer for the Great Lakes Team in the Office of Operations of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Previously, I have worked for the Crisis States Research Centre at the London School of Economics, Oxfam Novib, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the World Bank. I have also been employed as a consultant for Save the Children UK, Control Risks Ltd, Gemin-i and the Europe-Japan Centre. My goal is to meaningfully contribute to conflict reduction and the advancement of social, economic and political development in less developed and marginalised countries.
